Plant Mechanic Supervisor
Location: Octoraro Water Treatment Plant, Nottingham, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic Supervisor to lead maintenance and repair operations for mechanical and electrical systems at our water treatment facility. This hands-on role involves supervising a team, ensuring smooth operations, and responding to emergency repairs. The position requires technical expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train plant mechanics, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of critical process equipment.
- Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance efforts.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and recommend equipment repairs or modifications.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead safety training.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for plant emergencies.
- Utilize PLCs, SCADA systems, and related technology for troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Minimum two years of trade school or equivalent mechanical training.
- At least five years of skilled mechanical/electrical experience with complex systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in reading maintenance manuals, diagrams, and parts lists.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to reside within 30 minutes of the plant within one year of hire.
Preferred:
- Experience in water treatment plant operations.
- Knowledge of chemical hazards and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with PLCs, lubrication techniques, and electronic instrumentation.
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, with required overtime and emergency response availability.
